Autumnal Equinox

September 15, 2008

The chemical alteration is incontrollable once the mind is compromised by the smallest aperture of sight. You’re disappearing into that place with eyes closed and with open arms, not knowing. The days begin to slip through your grasp as you sacrifice the whole for a piece of nothing. You dig deeper hoping to rise above realizing that you’re only falling prey to the depths of a tragic tranquility. Drifting into the unconscious state of consciousness you reveal your weakness and suffer the consequence. Today is tomorrow and tomorrow is dead like all dreams that have made the arduous journey only to end resting below the earth in this graveyard of parchment and dust. Hope is not your ally and faith is no longer your friend and this time you are alone on this island. You’ve seen it all and are tired and no time is the right time and no time is better than now.

You have come to the vivid realization that the stars and moon are no longer yours to anchor. You must find the path without your guide and you must fight the battle blind. Your sword of truth is shattered and you must use your hands to suppress the dragon. The agony of cello strings grabs your heart and you succumb to a suppressed emotion you thought impossible. What words haven’t flowed from your anguish now flow from once deserted ducts and you are overcome with a newfound weakness to surrender your soul. Death is a new beginning but do you have the strength to rise again?
